Yoga for Kids

We will cover the basics of yoga through breath and poses in a playful manner to keep children engaged and moving. Yoga at an early age encourages self-esteem and body awareness with a physical activity that’s noncompetitive. Benefits include enhanced flexibility, strength, coordination and body awareness. Students often show signs of improved concentration and a sense of calm.

Kim Fischer

Kim has been teaching group fitness since the 80’s. She is certified in Ashtanga yoga and Mat Pilates and has been teaching those for over 10 years. Although Ashtanga means “the energy of a young boy” and can be an advanced flow, her specialty is teaching correct mechanical technique to those new to exercise, both in yoga and pilates. Sharing the joy of exercise, nutrition and whole body wellness is her passion. “One of my primary life commitments is that I make a difference for others & have an impact.”
