  • Beginner Stained Glass Window

    Create a beautiful stained glass window approximately 8” x 10” in size. This class is for both beginner and experienced stained glass participants! The copper foil technique will be taught from cutting to assembly. The first night, you'll choose a pattern and discuss colors of glass, equipment, and layout. The other sessions will focus on assembling your stained glass window. Glass and materials are purchased directly from the instructor at class - approximately $65. Tool kits are provided. Please bring safety glasses to use while cutting and grinding glass. This class includes one free Saturday morning Open Studio visit. Call to register participants ages 14-17 (must attend with an enrolled adult).
  • Fused Glass Blue Plate

    Create a one-of-a-kind small plate in this beginner-friendly fused glass class! You'll work with beautiful shades of blue glass to design a unique pattern. Choose from a classic striped, checkered, or mosaic layout making this piece a vibrant addition to your home or a wonderful gift. A $20 material fee is payable to the instructor at the start of class. Since the plate must go through a special kiln-firing process, your beautiful finished project will be ready for pick-up on any Wednesday after March 18th between 7 - 8:30 PM.
  • Fused Glass Garden Art

    Add a flash of color to your pots, planters, flowerbeds or garden! In this class, you will create a fused glass totem and stake. A $20 material fee is payable to the instructor at the start of class. Additional items can be made during class for an extra material fee payable at class. Due to the fusing cycle, you will need to return to the studio on any Wednesday after May 20th between 7 - 8:30pm.
  • Fused Glass Nightlights

    Design and create your own unique night light cover using the art of fused glass! This hands-on class is perfect for beginners and a great way to personalize any room, giving you the choice to either curve your 3 x 4.5 inch cover for dimension or leave it flat. A $20 material fee is payable to the instructor at the start of class. Due to the necessary firing cycle, please plan to return to the studio on any Wednesday after January 21 between 7 - 8:30 PM to pick up your finished, one-of-a-kind creation.

    Fused Glass Open Studio provides time and space to create fused glass projects for beginner and advanced participants. A facilitator will be on hand for advice and support. A $25 material fee will be collected at the studio for each new punch card. Participants are asked to bring their own glass (COE90-preferred), cutting tools and molds (sharing of materials is also an option). It is recommended that participants have taken at least one fused glass class before joining Open Studio. Punch cards have 8 punches and are valid for 12 months.

    Hit a Home Run with your decor! Join us for a fun, hands-on workshop where you'll personally stain and paint a 12-inch wooden round sign themed for your favorite sport! We guide you step-by-step through the process, allowing you to customize your sign with a name and number using your choice of stain and paint colors. No experience is needed! All materials are provided, and you'll take your personalized, game-ready sign home the very same night. Please Note: To ensure your custom stencil is ready, registration will close one week early. Please enter your choice of sport sign (baseball, softball, tennis, pickleball, golf, football, basketball, hockey, volleyball, soccer, cross country, or bowling) along with your personalized name and number during registration.
  • Garden Goddess Plant Stakes

    Create a unique and vibrant Garden Goddess plant stake to adorn your plants or garden in this exciting fused glass class! You'll personalize a pre-cut female glass form by decorating it with a beautiful array of colorful glass accessories like stringers, noodles, frit balls, and scrap glass. A $20 material fee is payable to the instructor at the start of class. Due to the necessary kiln-firing process, your finished piece will be ready for pick-up on any Wednesday after April 29th between 7 - 8:30 PM. When you return to the studio, you'll complete your goddess by stringing decorative beads onto the copper "hair" wires, as the beads cannot be fired in the kiln.
  • Glass Mosaic Bird Bath

    Join us this spring to make a one-of-a-kind bird bath. In this class, you will decorate a terra-cotta drip tray with pieces of stained glass. The bird bath can be placed on the ground or on a wrought-iron stand (not included). Grouting will take place on the second day of class, and if weather permits, students will grout outdoors. A $20 material fee is payable to the instructor at the start of class. Register for the Glass Mosaic Terracotta Pot class on April 13 & 14 to create a matching stand for your bird bath!
  • Glass Mosaic Terracotta Pot

    Add a personal touch to your pots this spring! With guided instruction, you will design, cut, glue, and grout your own unique mosaic pattern onto your pot. Choose from two different size pots for this project. All tools and materials are available at our glass studio. A $20 material fee is payable to the instructor at the start of class. Call to register participants ages 14-17 (must attend with an enrolled adult). Register for the Glass Mosaic Bird Bath class on April 27 & 30 to combine your projects into an elevated bird bath!
  • Handmade Clay Mug

    Discover the joy of working with clay in our new, hands-on mug class! Our instructor will guide you through beginner-friendly, hand-building techniques to help you create a unique ceramic mug. You'll get to choose from a variety of glaze options to complete your project. We'll fire your finished mug after class and will contact you when the mug is ready to be picked up from the Community Education office.
  • New Year's Vision Board

    Join us at The Vintage Storyteller early in the New Year for an afternoon dedicated to setting intentions for 2026! This is a hands-on, creative practice where you'll collage images, words, and affirmations to create a visual representation of your goals and dreams. Your vision board will help clarify your aspirations and keep them at the forefront of your mind, focusing on how you want to feel in the new year. Come relax, enjoy warm beverages, and utilize our plenty of supplies to create a personal vision for the year ahead. Participants ages 16 years or older are welcome with an enrolled adult.
  • Paint Your Pet

    Create a portrait of your furry, scaly, or feathered friend at our NEW painting class! Emily will prepare a sketch of your pet in advance and will guide you step-by-step through the painting process. Simply email a photo of your pet at least one week ahead of time. You'll go home with your completed masterpiece at the end of the night. No experience is needed and fun for all skill levels! Photos can be emailed to tara at tara.st.martin@orono.k12.mn.us.
  • Paint the Town with Kevin Kluever!

    Capture the charm of your community in a work of art! Join local artist Kevin Kluever for this adult painting class, perfect for all skill levels. In each session, Kevin selects a local landmark or special spot, provides a pre-drawn outline of the scene, and guides you step-by-step in filling the spaces with paint. You'll learn color mixing and techniques to transform the simple sketch into a vibrant, finished painting that captures a unique area from your own town.   • Rabbit Pattern Pedestal Workshop

    Join Board & Brush for a fun, hands-on evening creating a beautiful piece of spring decor! In this workshop, you'll personally assemble, stain, and paint a charming 10" x 24" wooden pedestal tray featuring a vintage rabbit and floral design. No experience is necessary; we provide all materials and guide you step-by-step through customizing your tray with your choice of stain and paint colors. Your finished project will be perfect as an Easter centerpiece or an elegant addition to your table. Grab your friends and family! You'll take your completed tray home at the end of the night.
  • Stained Glass Lady Slipper

    Create the Minnesota state flower, the Lady's Slipper, in stained glass! This class teaches the copper foil technique from cutting and assembly. The flower will be attached to a gold, 8 inch hoop for hanging. All tools are provided, but materials cost approximately $50 and are paid directly to the instructor at class. Please bring safety glasses. Teens ages 14–17 are welcome to register and attend with an enrolled adult; please call to sign them up.
