Fused Glass Open Studio

Fused Glass Open Studio provides time and space to create fused glass projects for beginner and advanced participants. A facilitator will be on hand for advice and support. A $25 supply fee will be collected at the studio for each new punch card. Participants are asked to bring their own glass (COE90-preferred), cutting tools and molds (sharing of materials is also an option). It is recommended that participants have taken at least one fused glass class before joining Open Studio. Punch cards have 8 punches and are valid for 12 months.

Hand Brushed Chalkboard Lettering

Have you wanted to learn brush calligraphy but didn't know how to start? Want to add a personal script to your next event or gathering? Join Jessica to learn the basic strokes and drills on how to make letters and words as beautiful and artistic as you see online! Jessica’s workshops and classes have a mix of demonstration and instruction, practice time, some individual attention, jokes and hopefully some laughter. Leave with some of her favorite worksheets, two of her favorite brush pens, techniques to continue your learning, and a piece of your own work to take home! Feel free to bring your own favorite brush pens.

Macrame Plant Hangers

Have you filled all the open areas of your home with beautiful house plants and need to start moving up?! Create a beautiful, simple chroma plant hanger! The natural cord used for the majority of the hanger is a quality cord with great texture. You can customize the hanger by adding one or two colors to the top and bottom knots. The colored cord comes in a wide variety of colors. A natural wooden ring is used to secure the hanger and can fit a wide variety of pot sizes.

Plein Air Painting

Learn the art of capturing the light by painting outdoors. Local artist Kevin Kluever will guide you on how to paint with acrylics in nature. Classes will meet at the Orono Rotary Learning Pavillion in the Oliver Greib Abbot Environmental Learning Center to capture the natural surroundings. Please bring a canvas of your choice - any size or type.

Stained Glass Open Studio

Stained Glass Open Studio provides time and space to work on your projects whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced worker. A facilitator is available for advice and support. Purchase an 8-session punch card and receive an area to store supplies, tools and your projects. Punch cards are valid for 12 months. Students can group order glass and supplies to save time and money. Park in the back, north side of the building and enter through Door 5.

Summer Tote Bag Screen Printing

Custom make your very own summer tote bag! This quick, one hour course is designed to get you acquainted with the basics of screen printing. You’ll be hand printing your tote bag using a pre-designed, summer-themed stencil with a color gradient combination of your choice. All materials are included in the registration fee. Join us to create the perfect accessory for all of your summer activities this season! Call to register participants ages 14 - 17 (must attend with an enrolled adult).
