Orono Early Learning's Discovery Kids program is Full-Day Educationally Focused Childcare. Discovery Kids is NAEYC accredited and 4 Star Parent Aware-rated. Every Discovery Kids & half-day preschool classroom utilized the state-approved Creative Curriculum, which honors creativity and respects the role that teachers play in making learning exciting and relevant for every child. Discovery Kids is designed for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.

30 total hours of classroom driver's training required by the State of Minnesota.

Looking for an option to extend your kiddos day at the Discovery Center? Our Clubhouse program is a multi-aged classroom filled with creative curriculum studies and activities to enhance your child's social, emotional and academic development. You choose the days that your child will regularly attend. Morning Movers is open to 3-5 year old Preschoolers- who need care Monday - Friday from 8:45 - 9:15 am during the Preschool calendar year. Preschoolers will have structured, supervised play time in the gym and then each child will be escorted to their Preschool classroom door to start the day. Morning Clubhouse is designed for children 18 months to 5 years. Lunch Bunch is a great way to extend your 3-5 year old's day. Lunch Bunch is available M-F and runs from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm. Pack a nut free lunch and your child will be brought to Lunch Bunch right from preschool or Clubhouse. Afternoon Clubhouse is designed for children ages 3-5. Your child will enjoy spending the afternoon exploring the arts and physical fitness! *There is an additional $2/hour fee for drop-in or pick-your-day schedules. Occasional drop-in request can be placed up to 2 days in advance via the online system. **Due to staffing limitations, no day-of requests will be honored**. Please call the office if you are requesting a drop-in day that does not fit in that window.

The OK Kids program is offered by the the Community Education department of Orono Schools to meet the unique learning and care needs of school-age children. Before and/or after school child care is available during the school year. Full-day child care is offered on most non-school days. Our teaching staff works to meet the social needs of each child and support his/her success in school.

All of Orono Early Learning's Preschool and Practice Preschool programs are NAEYC accredited and 4 Star Parent Aware rated. All early learning classes utilize the state-approved Creative Curriculum which honors creativity and respects the role that teachers play in making learning exciting and relevant for every child. Our Practice Preschool program is designed for children 2-3 years old while our Preschool classes are for ages 3-5.
