    Orono HS Boys Basketball Morning Workouts - Freshmen

    Fun, High-intensity basketball workouts with Marquel Curtis. Players will develop their offensive and defensive skill-sets with several different drills and game-like scenarios. Skills emphasized will be ball-handling, shooting, and passing. Players will also develop their in-game awareness by participating in 1-on-1, 3-on-3, and 5-on-5 situations.     This program is designed to help young wrestlers learn fundamental wrestling skills while having fun. All experience levels are welcome. The Orono Wrestling Club gives young athletes the opportunity to learn the oldest sport in the world and build character on and off the mat: Build self-confidence Develop advanced motor skills and coordination Learn about individual as well as team sport skills Understand how to “Win with Class” and “Lose with Dignity” New to wrestling? Try FREE practices to see what it’s all about! Register once and attend as many dates as you wish. Open to 1st and 2nd-year wrestlers only (PreK - Grade 6). Pre-registration required. October 27, 28 & 30 6 - 6:45 pm (PreK - Grade 2) 7 - 8 pm (Grades 3 - 6) Orono High School Wrestling Room - Enter at the Orono Activities Center and follow signs to the Orono High School Wrestling Room SEASON INFORMATION: PreK - Grade 2 These young wrestlers (boys & girls) will learn the basic elements of successful wrestling skills. T-shirt included in fee. Optional Wednesdays 6 - 6:45 PM. Grades 1 - 6 Wrestlers (boys & girls) get the opportunity to enhance their ability and skills to wrestle in competition. T-shirt included in fee. Grades 3-6 fee includes Team Tournament registration. Extended season through March available for interested wrestlers Girls Only Practices - These optional practices are open to girls in PreK - Grade 6 and are available at no additional cost.     Whether your child is a beginning or intermediate player, this program will improve their game and help them get more enjoyment from pickleball. Skyhawks pickleball programs focus on skill refinement as well as practice and match play to develop consistent, well-rounded pickleball players. Skyhawks staff also instill positive life skills such as respect and sportsmanship.

    Skateboard Camp

    3rd Lair skateboard camps are designed for all ages and abilities and have been a part of Minnesota action sports development for over 25 years. We teach the basics of skateboarding as well as help more advanced individuals take their skating to the next level. Our professional instructors share their love of the sport in a fun and supportive environment designed to foster confidence and build skills. Our camps provide small group instruction based on skill level so everyone feels comfortable, supported and challenged. www.3rdlair.com. *See equipment note at bottom of this description. Daily Camp Schedule 8:30 am – Doors open for drop off 9 am-10:30 am – Small group instruction for skill development. 10:30 am-10:45 am – Break/Snack time (bring your own snack). 10:45 am-11:50 am – Optional 20 minute game time and additional small group instruction 11:50 am-Noon – Camp wrap up *Skateboard and safety equipment rental available to students without their own gear.
