Spartan Volleyball Training
This is a great opportunity to get in the gym and work on both individual skills and team play with your fellow high school players. Time will also be spent on physical training. Use this opportunity to prepare for the fall season. Led by Orono High School Volleyball Coaches -

Tennis Lessons: Private & Small Group
You must register on the waitlist and select your number of lessons. We will send your contact information to Bryan Turunen and he will contact you to set up days and times that work for your schedule before processing the fees. Available to all abilities age 4 through adult. Lessons are customizable to the individual or a group of up to 4 players. For groups, please register each child in the group. Lesson rates: Individual - $85/hr. Group of 2 - $90/hr. ($45/student) Group of 3 - $105/hr. ($35/student) Group of 4 - $120/hr. ($30/student) -

Tennis: Green Ball Play
Green ball tennis is for players who are continuing to acquire skills and are ready to play on a full-length court. Players will be refining technique and fundamentals that allow them to rally. Games will involve situational point play to develop strategies for both singles and doubles. Players will be able to score, serve and compete. Tennis racket required. Coach Turunen recommends a 25,” 26” or introductory 27” racket. Questions can be directed to Coach Bryan Turunen at bturunen@yahoo.com or 612-964-2027. Options for 2, 3 or 4 days per week. Tennis: JV & Varsity Competition
Designed for the junior varsity, varsity or USTA competitive tennis player looking to maximize their potential. Players will practice and compete with others their age and ability level. Emphasis will be placed on advanced stroke production, tactics, strategy, mental toughness, conditioning and match play. Tennis racket required. Options for 2, 3 or 4 days per week. Tennis: Orange Ball Skill Development
Orange ball tennis will help players continue to develop fundamental skills for each stroke while adding movement and court coverage. Orange balls bounce higher and move faster than red, but slower than green balls. Both singles and doubles game situations will involve point play emphasis, footwork, consistency and strategy. Serving, scoring and an introduction to match play will be covered. Tennis racket required. Coach Turunen recommends a 23” - 25” racket. Tennis: Red Ball FUNdamentals
Red ball tennis is named after the foam or felt balls that bounce lower and move slowly through the air, giving beginner players more time to prepare. FUN and tennis games are a major emphasis in this format while players are introduced to the basics of ready position, grip and strokes. Tennis racket required. Treasure Hunt
Exercise your mind and body while seeking hidden treasure! Learn about different methods of navigation like orienteering and geocaching! Orienteering uses a map and compass to navigate from point to point. Geocaching combines hiking with technology-aided treasure hunting. Join the adventure! -
Volleyball Camp
Learn the fundamentals of volleyball through drills and exercises that focus on passing, setting, hitting and serving. This co-ed program is designed for beginning and intermediate players. Wear appropriate clothing and bring two snacks and a water bottle.
