    We start with a classic Caesar salad using fresh baked croutons, Romano cheese and sweet cherry tomatoes. You’ll assemble the entree wrapping tender breast of chicken in flaky puff pastry with shallots and portobello mushrooms. Together we’ll prepare an amazing sauce using sweet port wine. Sides will include asparagus with olive oil and fresh squeezed lemon along with a delicious Jasmine rice blend using toasted almonds and dried cranberries. We will finish with chocolate decadence, a rich flourless chocolate torte served with an exquisite raspberry coulis and fresh whipped cream.
  • Instant Pot 101

    Demystifying the electric pressure cooker! Learn the foundations of cooking and care and how to make amazing satisfying dishes in the Instant Pot! Barbecue pulled chicken, cheesy Tuscan chicken with pasta, Mexican rice and deviled eggs will be made. The basics of cooking simple vegetables will also be learned. Enjoy selections in class or take some home! $15 supply fee payable to the instructor at the start of class.
  • Instant Pot Desserts

    We will explore the wonders of creating desserts with the electric pressure cooker called the Instant Pot! Time permitting, desserts such as cheese cake(s), luscious chocolate cake with ganache frosting and rice pudding will be made. In addition, we will all enjoy learning how to make luscious lava cake. Sample selections in class or take some home! $15 supply fee payable to instructor at start of class.
  • Lefse

    This wonderful Norwegian delicacy is made for banquets, holidays, weddings and any special occasion. If you are Norwegian and missed recording Grandma’s recipe, tips and techniques, this is the class for you! Other nationalities find lefse delicious too! Learn the finer points of making the dough, baking, storing and of course how to serve lefse (bonus is a bit of history and humor). We will begin with real potatoes using a number of authentic recipes and a modern version using instant potatoes. Plan to sample your fresh, warm creations with traditional fillings and take home finished lefse and dough to bake and then share with family and friends. $9 supply fee payable to instructor at class.
  • OPA! It's All Greek to Me!

    Learn to create a traditional Greek meal from scratch to treat your family and friends any time of year! The meal will include grilled chicken pita wraps with tzatziki sauce, veggies, homemade pita bread, oven roasted lemon potatoes, Greek veggie rice, Greek salad and Baklava Rolls dripping in scrumptious syrup! Enjoy a full plate of food in class or take it home. Supply fee of $20 payable to instructor at the start of class.
  • Pasta! Pasta! Pasta!

    We’ll start by learning how to make basil pesto, then practice it’s versatility creating a delightful appetizer using it in combination with fresh baked bread, Roma tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. Next we’ll toss the basil pesto with vermicelli and cream to make a delicious pasta topped with diced tomatoes and roasted pine nuts. Cappellini pasta is next, tossed with olive oil, garlic, fresh basil, tomatoes and sautéed baby shrimp. Finally, fettuccine alfredo primavera, a divine combination of fresh veggies, Parmesan cheese and cream. We’ll finish with a classic tartlet, sugar dough layered with pastry cream and fresh fruit with a sweet apricot glaze.

    Nothing beats a homemade pie or tart. It’s easy to make them too! Served hot or cold, loaded with fruit and bursting with a creamy texture. A lattice top is not only pretty, but easy to create with helpful tips. You will mix and match your favorite fruits and berries for artistic and tasty tarts. Pucker up for classic lemon meringue pie as just one of many treats. Expect a number of wonderful recipes featuring fruits, nuts and a shiny glaze to tempt you, your family and friends. There will be tips galore to ensure that you have success every time. Sample creations in class and bring a container to transport samples home. A $9 supply fee is payable to the instructor at class. 
  • Truffles - Chocolate Candies for All Occasions

    You’ve tried the rest, now try the best truffles of all - and you will make them yourself! She has shown thousands of students how to make these rich, chocolaty delicacies. With just one 3-hour class, you’ll be making truffles for all of those special occasions, from graduations and weddings to gifts and more! We will make five different recipes in class, and each student will take home a nice box of 15-18 truffles. Plus, we’ll sample some other chocolate-dipped treats in class. A $12 supply fee is payable to the instructor at class. Optional truffle/candy kit will be available for purchase ($18) for future candy making projects. We cannot accommodate nut allergies in this class. Youth ages 16-17 may register with a registered adult.
