30 total hours of classroom driver's training required by the State of Minnesota.
Private guitar and piano lessons are offered on Saturday's at Orono High School. Lessons are taught by highly-qualified instructors who are proficient in a variety of instruments. Please select the section below that best works with your schedule. Lessons follow a school-year calendar (September 16, 2024- May 2, 2025.) A lesson calendar and handbook will be emailed after registration. There is a non-refundable $15 registration fee due at the time of registration. Each half-hour lesson is $29 and will be billed monthly to the credit card on file.
In Person LessonsAvailable Fridays at Discovery Center and Saturday mornings at Orono High School Teaches Piano, Acoustic and Electric Guitar, Bass, Cello and DrumsTom Just teaches piano, acoustic and electric guitar, bass, cello, and drums. He is well versed in classical, jazz, blues, folk, and rock idioms. Tom's life as a professional musician began at age 10 as a vocalist with the Lyric Opera Company of Chicago. He is a multi-instrumentalist with three decades of teaching experience. His compositional work includes music written for piano, brass, percussion, ensembles, and full orchestra. In addition to his work as a musician, he is also a professional freelance audio engineer. Tom Just graduated from St. Olaf College with B.A. in Philosophy, and studied music composition at the graduate level at the University of Chicago
