The transition to college can feel overwhelming for students. This presentation will help parents understand students’ rights and responsibilities in college versus high school, what types of support is available at college, how to secure those accommodations and services, and guidance on skills students can work on now to make their transition to college easier and help them thrive in their next chapter! We will also discuss disclosing a learning difference or disability in the application process and learn more about accessibility and student success services during a campus visit, including how to access free on campus clinics, tutoring, multicultural offices, and mental health supports.
