Supporting Grievers Workshop

Adult Enrichment / Health & Wellness -
Fall 2025

Even with the best of intentions, most people struggle to find the right words or deeds to support those they're close to who are grieving a loss. We will explore techniques to be more comfortable and better able to support the grievers you care about. It is intended for friends, family, or community members who want to learn how to support children, young adults, or adults who have experienced the death of a loved one.

This workshop will:

  • Provide an understanding of what grief is and how it manifests.
  • Introduce meaningful steps for supporting someone who is grieving.
  • Inform as to what to say and what to avoid, and suggest actions that are truly helpful.

Children ages 14 - 18 years old may register with an adult registration.
