Early High School Planning: How Making Choices in 9th and 10th Grade Can Open Doors after High School

Youth Enrichment / College Planning -
Fall 2025

By the time students start thinking about colleges during their junior year, it’s often too late to make changes that could be impactful for college applications. Therefore, it’s important for students and parents to think ahead about their curricular and extracurricular choices. After this presentation, parents of early high school students will understand how applications are read, how to direct their children on choices such as taking AP or standard college preparatory courses, dual enrollment, what activities can make your child stand out, and how to use summers to explore academic and extracurricular interests.
