TRYOUT DETAILS:

Sunday, October 26 in the Orono High School Gym

Grades 4 - 6:  11:30 am - 1:45 PM

- The number of teams at each grade level will depend on the number of athletes that tryout.

- The program is limited to students that are currently enrolled at Orono Schools or those that will attend Orono after aging out of their current school. If you do not meet this criteria, please contact kim.king@orono.k12.mn.us to discuss your circumstances.

Registration

- Tryout level is determined based on current grade in school.

- Tryout Registration - $20:  DEADLINE Thursday, October 23 at 10:00 PM.

- "Day Of" Tryout Registration - $40: In person on Sunday, October 26

- Tryout fee is non-refundable.

- Players should wear a shirt with a number on it for tryouts.

- If your daughter is interested in playing, please make every effort for her to attend the scheduled tryout time. Make-up tryouts are difficult because we may not be able to get an accurate picture of your players abilities in a smaller group setting. If your player has an unavoidable conflict with the tryout date, please contact kim.king@orono.k12.mn.us

SEASON DATES:

October 21: Pre-Tryout Clinic 4th - 6th Grade   6:15 - 7:45 PM

October 26: Tryouts

October 28:  Make-up Tryout

October 29:  Program Commitment Date

October 31: Team Placements announced via email

November 6: Parent & Player Meeting  - 6:30 - 8 PM, Orono HS Auditorium

November 11 & 13: Skills Clinic All Ages 6:15 - 7:45 PM  (free to those placed on a team)

November 17/18 : Practices begin

Practices & Tournaments - Week of November 17 through week of March 16

- Practices are held two times/week (Mondays or Tuesdays & Thursdays). Exact times and dates are based on gym availability and the schedule of the coach for the team your daughter is placed on.

- Typically 5 - 6 weekend tournaments held either Saturday or Sunday from January through mid-March

Season Fee: $695

- To be paid after team assignments are made.

- Payment plans are available to all, and scholarships are available to those that qualify. To request a scholarship, contact Anita Goman at anita.goman@orono.k12.mn.us.

- This fee includes coaches, tournament entry fees, jersey, equipment and gym usage fees.
