  • JO Volleyball Tryouts - 11 & Under (4th & 5th grade)

    TRYOUT DETAILS: Sunday, November 3 Orono Middle School Gym 2 - 6 pm - Open to Grades 4 - 8. The number of teams at each grade level will depend on the number of athletes that tryout.   - Tryouts last 1 ½ - 2 hours. Exact times will be assigned after the Early Bird registration deadline. - The program is limited to students that are currently enrolled at Orono Schools. If you do not meet this criteria, please contact me at kimberly.king@orono.k12.mn.us to discuss your circumstances.Registration - Tryout level is determined based on current grade in school. - Early Bird Tryout Registration - $30: DEADLINE Monday, October 21 at NOON. - Late Tryout Registration - $60: Monday, October 21 at noon through Friday, November 1 at 4 pm. - "Day Of" Tryout Registration - $60: In person on November 3rd. - Tryout fee is non-refundable. A portion of your tryout fee will be applied to your season fee. The amount applied is dependent on your registration date. It is to your benefit to register early! - If your daughter is interested in playing, please make every effort for her to attend the scheduled tryout time. If this is not possible, please contact me at kimberly.king@orono.k12.mn.us ESTIMATED SEASON DATES:  November 3: Tryouts November 10: Parent & Player Meeting November Skills Clinics: Schedule TBA (free to those placed on a team) December 2 - mid March: Practices and tournaments - Practices are 2 hours long and held two times/week (Mondays & Thursdays). Exact times and dates are based on gym availability and the schedule of the coach for the team your daughter is placed on.- Typically 6 weekend tournaments. Held either Saturday or Sunday. SEASON FEE:  $650 - To be paid after team assignments are made. - A portion of your tryout fee will be applied to the amount due. - Payment plans available to all and scholarships available to those that qualify. - Fee includes coaches, tournament entry fees, jersey, equipment, and gym rental fees. - Additional jersey fee for players that need to purchase one.
